Music for Healing and Dialogue



A civic arts project using music to support healing and dialogue on gun violence, race and law enforcement practices for Boston residents. Led by Boston Artist-in-Residence Shaw Pong Liu (violinist and composer) in partnership with the City of Boston, the Boston Police Department, and community organizations including the Louis D. Brown Peace Institute Teen Empowerment and the Mattapan Teen Center.

Harmony and Hope: Responding to Violence With Music

Code Listen is collaborating with Riverview Chamber Players' Harmony and Hope: Responding to Violence With Music all-day concert  (12-hours, 12 concerts), working with director Rebecca Strauss to honor and remember individuals lost to violence. Four families will be speaking about their loved ones lost to violence at four different concerts that day. 

Code Listen artist Shaw Pong Liu will perform with colleagues Tanya Maggi and Julia Cash at the 3pm-4pm concert.
